Data saved on your device
SudokuLab saves your Play puzzle and Challenge puzzle, including grids, notes, marks, solutions, difficulty and mistakes. It also saves Learn progress, practice and assessment results, statistics, and your board, coach, text, colour and theme settings.
In a browser or installed web app, these records live in that browser’s local storage, primarily IndexedDB with a localStorage fallback. In the bundled iOS and Android proof apps, they live in the app WebView’s local storage. That native storage is provisional and may be lost if the app is removed or its data is cleared.
This information website saves your light or dark theme choice in this browser’s localStorage. It does not receive your SudokuLab puzzle or progress records.
Transfer and network use
The app does not automatically upload your saved records and has no account, analytics or advertising integration in this build. The web app downloads its code and updates from its host; the host may receive ordinary requests and handle connection data under its own policy. The bundled native app loads its game assets locally.
On the web, Export backup creates a file only when you choose it. If you save or share that file through a browser, operating system, email or cloud service, that destination handles the copy. Native proof builds can restore a file you select but do not currently offer export. Restore shows a preview before replacing the current records; Undo the last restore is available in Settings. A backup file may contain your entire puzzle and progress history, so share it only deliberately.
Vercel hosts this information website at sudoku.alosha.dev and the web game at play.sudoku.alosha.dev. When you visit either site, Vercel processes ordinary connection information such as your IP address, requested pages or files, time, and browser or device details to deliver and protect them. Cloudflare provides DNS for alosha.dev. These two subdomains use DNS-only records, so their website traffic is not routed through Cloudflare’s proxy. See Vercel’s privacy notice for its data practices.
Deletion and recovery
Settings lets you reset text choices and change board preferences; Stats has its own Reset control. There is currently no single in-app erase-all control. To remove all local records, clear this site’s browser data, or clear the native app’s data or uninstall it. This also removes local recovery copies and may make progress unrecoverable. Clearing the app does not remove backup files you exported, copies you shared, or any operating-system backup that may exist. Android automatic app backup is disabled in this proof build; iOS backup treatment depends on the device’s settings and has not been verified for release.
